Latest Release of SilverRail Journey Planner Now Available

A new release of the SilverRail Journey Planner API went live this week with a raft of new features and improvements. The new features include Transport for London and Network Rail real-time information in the UK, Park and Ride Journey Planning, Wheelchair Journey Planning and Location Groups.

Orbitz for Business Customers Experiencing 37% Average Savings In North-East Corridor

Through extensive testing across multiple geographies, time frames and ticket types, we compared the prices, times and frequency of service for travelling by train versus flying, and even we were taken aback by the advantages that rail holds over air for short to mid-distance routes.
 
Flying was on average 2.2 times more expensive, took 10% longer, and was 24% less likely to have services within the hour of the desired travel time.

Our newest recruit - Alain van West joins the SilverRail team

SilverRail Technologies, the developer of the first global distribution platform specialising in passenger rail, has appointed Alain van West as Vice President Business Development. A specialist in international travel sales and distribution, van West was previously the Director of Large Market Sales at American Express.  His appointment comes at a time when SilverRail is undertaking a robust programme to sign on more train operating companies to its simplified rail ticketing system, SilverCore.
