Phil Dixon CIO

Phil Dixon has joined SilverRail as CIO, responsible for the delivery of all aspects of customer services including all IT systems, infrastructure and operations. As SilverRail grows to support an increasing number of rail carriers internationally, Phil will not only be building the operations infrastructure but building the team across all locations.

Phil has spent more than 20 years in Technology and Operations providing industry-leading service and support in large-scale software as a service models. He joins SilverRail after five years at Google where he helped build an Operations team within Mergers and Acquisitions, facilitating technology integrations of acquired companies. This remit came after driving successful integrations between ITA Software and Google when ITA was acquired in 2010.

Phil spent 10 years at ITA Software, where he built the production computing infrastructure to ultimately power airfare search for more than 75% of US online air market. His leadership across operations, information security, customer support, and information technology helped ITA establish itself as a critical provider to the travel industry and steered ITA through its acquisition by Google in 2010.

SilverRail CEO and Co-founder Aaron Gowell says “We are really excited to have Phil on board. He has enormous experience with SaaS businesses, cloud services and delivering mission critical, high availability, gold star service levels. He has a proven history in growing emergent businesses to established, market leading enterprises. Phil is the right person, at the right time for us.”
