It has been one hell of a year here at SilverRail. To highlight what we’ve been up to, Cameron Jones, our Chief Commercial Officer has reflected on our recent successes in his blog post – 2015 – what a year! In which, key milestones include:

  1. The ultimate network effect – Where we saw new carriers and new distribution partners enhance both sides of the market place.
  1. Seamless Mobility™– 2015 saw SilverRail’s mission evolve beyond the realms of rail. Now driven by a vision of seamless mobility; allowing travellers to plan and transact within a single platform, across ALL modes of transit, including taxi, Uber, bike and bus, door-to-door and end-to-end.

We thought solving rail problems was cool. But solving big, complex city travel problems is even cooler. Without a doubt we have exciting and challenging times ahead. But, we need help to make it all happen, which is why – we’re hiring.

We are looking for 21st century innovators and software engineers to join us and help build the digital infrastructure the rail and travel industry so desperately desires.

But what’s it really like to work at SilverRail? What sets us apart from other tech companies?

To offer you some insight and inside knowledge into the company, we’ve delved inside the minds of two of our Boston rail stars.

Gail GreenEnter – Gayle Green, Technical Product Manager, SilverRail Technologies.

Gayle recently acted as a mentor for the HackTrain hackathon, allowing teams to turn to her stellar skills and slick advice on solutions, as well as to sound out the potential of their ideas or confirm the technical feasibility of their proposals.

Post event, HackTrain stole Gayle away for a quick chat to find out what makes her tick and what gives SilverRail its class-A rep:

“SilverRail is so much more than a great company, it is also a positive, open and creative environment to be part of. I can safely say that every single person truly wants to be there and each of their contributions are valued. As a result the company really does reward effort, creating a culture where its employees keep on giving and want to do, and be, better. The minute you walk through the door at SilverRail you can say goodbye to clock-watching, ego jostling and posing. This is a business where the conference table is of the ping-pong variety and it is not unusual for a soccer match to be on in the background. We get our work done well, but we have fun doing it.”
