Getting Greener with Deedster

2020 has been a tough year. We’ve seen the effects of climate change ripping across continents with bushfires and smoke filled skies and we’ve also had a global pandemic to tend with.

If there is anything good to come from this worldwide pandemic, it might be that the Earth has been given a chance to breathe a bit. We watched nature reclaim its place on the planet, we watched grey skies turn blue and we watched canals and rivers become clear.

As the world begins a “new normal” it is so important that we continue on the path to an unpolluted, cleaner environment and don’t return to old ways.

At SilverRail, we want to drive a culture of change. With our mission to Make Rail First Choice and our values of “Do Good”, “Stronger Together” and “Think Big, Act Smart” we are passionate about working together as a team, for a greener planet and by using our growth mindsets to challenge our habits and the way in which we live.

This means incorporating all aspects of our day to day lives, for a brighter better future. We are excited to be partnering with Deedster, the leading climate action app, to launch our SilverRail sustainability challenge. Last week, Anders, the cofounder, took our global team through Deedster on a Zoom call.

We will be working in groups to go head to head in a gamified challenge, having fun whilst trying something new, and raising our own awareness on how we can change our daily routines to improve our carbon footprint, become part of the climate change solution, and be Greener, Cleaner and Leaner.
